Ignition off - On and wait 60 seconds prior to starting engine, limp home position check will be performed if blade does not achieve a position close to the learnt limp home position a fault is set

Prioritized Checks to Perform

Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the powertrain control module for electric throttle related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and perform the relevant corrective actions

Check the electric throttle for obstructions. Rectify as necessary

Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics / Powertrain Control Module (PCM) / Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). Retest. If the fault persists, install a new electric throttle

During ECU power up the throttle spring checks have been performed and the throttle was unable to open the throttle blade prior to checking the return spring, If the fault is electrical other Throttle electrical diagnostic trouble codes will be present and should be rectified prior to investigating possibility that the throttle blade is unable to move when requested due to mechanical failure/physical obstruction internally
