Prioritized Checks to Perform

Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress and pins for damage and/or corrosion

Check the integrity of the variable oil pump solenoid fuse. Rectify as necessary

Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the variable oil pump solenoid circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary

Install a new variable oil pump solenoid

Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics / Powertrain Control Module (PCM) / Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). Retest
